0:02So welcome, Tyler. It's a pleasure to be talking to you. And just before we start, I'd like to introduce you and how I first met you. And I went back and have a look at my notes and I realised that it met you in 2012, about nine years ago and it was in October.
0:28And I'd come to Bali and I was in all board and I was about to start a course to check her a Bali course. And somehow you heard about it. You sent me an email and said, what about how come can we meet? And I had this guy out of the blue, say he wants to meet.
0:47I thought, well, let's turn up, who knows. Is the cafe in all would they're thinking, well, he turns up great if not, we'll have lunch. I was there with my wife. I'm sure enough, there's Tyler.
1:00And we sat down and started chatting. And I must say it was an instant report, bang connection and it was just like, you know, people on similar wavelength, similar values. And it was fabulous. And then we talked about the course I was starting on Friday. This Wednesday. And you came back and said, yes, I'll do it. And next thing I know, not only did you do it,
1:27but also your wife at the time and the business partner and another friend. And there were four people joined the course, which was absolutely amazing. And that was over nine days. And I really got to know you and recognise, you know, the degree of personal power and integrity that you bring to whatever you do.
1:46And I was very fortunate at a later time to go and do a 30 day fasting course, which was life changing and I did 20 days of fasting, six days on juice and 14 days on water and absolutely life changing. And since then, we've collaborated on other courses. And particularly, I think another life changing course is here like so fast. It's a nine day residential in Sonoa in Bali.
2:21And again, a massive detoxing psychological emotional transformation. And so the work that I've experienced with you has just been world class and what I'm interested in is how did you first get involved in this sort of work? Yeah, well, first I have to touch on thank you very much for the way for the acknowledgement. And I just have to also touch on and meeting because it was so interesting. I coach people all the time and I was just coaching this woman and people tell me the stuff they do all the time and I'm just like, oh yeah cool, whatever.
3:05And there's women's like, oh, and I'm coming to Bali and I'm doing this chakra Bali course. Now, you know, me at the time, especially somebody said, I'm coming to do chakra Bali. I'm just like, oh, whatever another. Foo, foo, chakra, whatever, Bali, yoga retreats on another. But there was something different. There was something that spoke to me. So when she said it always just like, I shouldn't be engaged with this, but I can feel something I need to ask. And I said kind of to ask you who's running this course and she said, oh, it's just man named Michael Adam.
3:40So I immediately did a little Google search and I was just like, I don't know why, but I need to contact my answer. I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just feeling I just need to meet you. You got this course is anyway, we can meet up and you're just, you know, you obliged and said, yeah, if you want to do this and like I said, huge rapport. And I'll say that that, you know, you offering of if you want to come do this course and then the fact that I actually had time.
4:11Like everything lined up just to go and do this course and then even my own partner at the time, it was like, Oh, I'm going to go to this course. She's like, well, I want to go and I'm like, what you want to go to like it just. It couldn't have, you know, couldn't have been planned any better. And it was a transformational experience every step of the way. I opened me up past like memories healing with my father's, I mean, visions, the whole thing. I was like, man, this is the way. So, I just also wanted to acknowledge that meeting and then the exchanges that we did, you do in my
4:45life. So you me coming in doing your enlightenment course again, next level. You know, you named that program properly the enlightenment course. There were aspects of that program that I showed up a thousand percent for and have completely changed my life and that I teach to this day. And there were aspects of that course that I didn't do a thousand percent and that's okay. And at some point I'd love to.
5:12Managed us and create that experience either with you or something because it definitely is an amazing course as you know. And so offer that to people. Is definitely a gift to humanity. So I'll take any breath there. Thank you, Tyler.
5:36And then the question is, how did I get into this? So, you know, my father cowboy hat looking character don't tell me. As my father, just to give everybody listeners a little bit of context. My father kind of went off on a big venture just prior to my birth. Was very inspired with fasting and ancient cultures and religion and you know he was a very raised and very into religion.
6:05But he kind of saw through the cracks and he more so wanted to be the mystic the person who has the experience. And I just caught up in the you know regurgitated stuff that the religion teaches so he went on a big kind of spiritual journey and that happened just prior to my birth so I was born into this world. With my mother older sister and older brother. And was raised not really having a father figure which I know is perfect.
6:34For what I needed to receive in this lifetime. And it you know I got really off track. Around probably nine or ten. Years old with wrong groups smoking drinking, debauchery.
6:51No love no support no guidance from a male figure was the main thing. And the main thing was my my main guidance male figure was my older brother. And I was three years older you know and starts into that teenage type of thing and I was younger. I was like well I want to do whatever he's doing because he's the cool one.
7:10He pretty much was my father figure. So it was you know a couple years of debauchery and then my mother. Really realizing that I needed that good father influence. And I was a father had a big 200 acre farm with peacocks and swans and ducks and ponds and beautiful nature and he was very much so living by kind of.
7:34Natural pathic you know alternative principles very much in society was a traveler speaker at the time. You know into commerce and making money but also very healthy and into fasting and that sort of thing so. And other kind of push me to think she found me smoking in the backyard under the deck one day. And like 11 or 12 years old.
7:58So I think she had a big awakening like oh my god like he's not the angel that I thought he was and he needs this positive influence. So she sent me out for an entire summer. I think my brother went first time to it was three. Three months to stay with my father and have a different experience and it was exactly that was a completely different experience.
8:19I think my father had just finished like a forty day water fast. So I remember when he arrived at the airport, this is the times when you can get off the plane and the people were waiting right there. And I remember having this experience like he was just glowing and full of life and just. man like there was something very different you know after a forty day water fast and everything that he had been going through obviously had rebuilt a little bit it was completely.
8:47Amatiated but I had this profound experience with him at the airport almost like time was different just in his presence. And of course we kind of integrated on the drive home and then imagine this one mile windy drive dirt road with trees and beauty and animals and then coming on to this huge farm of horses and peacocks and ducks and. And this beautiful space it was like we were going from hell which is where I came from into this like paradise. And he was just so loving and everybody around him was just so loving and accepting like expressed it.
9:29You know, I talk about this all the time I wake up every morning and go in the house and my stepmom would hug me my dad would hug me my brothers and sisters and step and people would all hug me and I love you and we're so glad you're here and just like. Where am I. You know and then I haven't. Yeah, is guidance and support and he's just like yeah you know just get up early in the morning and follow me and this is what we do with the chickens and this is what we do out here in the horses and feeding and milking and all these sorts of things and it's just like okay structure love community all these things that I really didn't have.
10:08You know, I really was like standard American diet and school and sit down and shut up and cross the road here and really the only person that loves you is your own mother you know and you're kind of over that. Five, ten years of overwhelm so anyway that was my experience and then after probably about a month of just being this beautiful experience. Probably around 30 or 40 people showed up who were quite sick individuals, I'd say most of them 80% of the party 20% they were there just for the experience and evolution and passing growth but most of them were sick or dealing with some type of issues. So it was a big like what's going on paradise you know fading.
10:56I learned very quickly that they were there to fast and heal and my dad was actually a teacher. And so that's when the real learning started and this you know every day in the morning we all went for a big long walk together we all watched the sunrise my father talked about. and connected to your and taken off the shoes and we'd all go sit in the grass and he would basically just discourse for hours on end and then you know everybody would go off and do their animals and come back and have a chat and laying the sun and you know and then my job was to make some of the juices so he's like you want something to do you can come in here and it was like you know all these women and beautiful people. I was I think 12 or 13 at this point so it's like a destiny you were born into.
11:47Oh a thousand percent. Like this was my coming of age ceremony. Yes, I actually in the dark. I was.
11:59I was definitely a light in the world but also like inwardly depressed that I was like the only one like me it felt you know there's a few other little lights adults and children but no real connection with them I can kind of see that there's a few people that were lit up most most mostly just seeing very disconnected. very you know Gestapo. With everything and everybody and so this is the more I think I was looking for. Yes, yes, yes that's a very powerful experience at a very transformational time you know here you are ending childhood going into teenage years and bang entering the world of your father and being uplifted and open to.
12:54a whole new possibility how amazing is that you know and that's now led you into this journey and so the things that you teach are what are the sort of things that you're involved in teaching and running what are those sort of things that you do. So from that time I knew this happened for a couple years in a row I knew like I just had it in my soul I'm here to expose fasting and feeling in these principles whatever it is to the world. That's what I want to do and I literally had my mind remember like 12 13 years old like man all the actors and the people that are wealthy and people that get sick and all these like they need to know about this and. You know maybe I can help my father originally it was like I need to help him and speak to as many people as possible and get people interested and.
13:49I'm like a minion to my father to help him to get this information out because I saw just the transformation that took place within these short periods of time you know I. think that we don't give enough credit to. Children and young people with you know their curiosity and how much they actually take in like I was a sponge and I was. Watching everything every individual that I connected with and saw their physical state and disease their mental and emotional stuff and even almost this level of dark.
14:26And I think that the vast energy of the shell of the people that these people were. And yet you know there's this perception even as a kid that you know there's something more to this person but there's just all this. And then to watch that did peeled with the connection and the love especially I think it was a big part of it was the connection with everybody was there and the love that was shown and the sunshine and the grounding and the juices but definitely the fasting. I think it's played such a massive role. I knew at that point 13 years of age this is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life.
15:04And I'm still to this day 100,000% committed and curious and learning and you know for the last 10 years of you running these kind of clinical fasting programs in Bali which you had that experience to do. And definitely became more clinical with you know having the fasting doctor eventually come along and measure everybody's bloods and their urine and blood pressure and blood sugar and making sure that people are really. You know taking care of and we're doing the right thing. And so I learned a lot about blood chemistry I learned a lot about all of these other markers and things that take place and in the science.
15:44You know what I was given and gifted from my father in those years of going through those practices were the history and the mystery and the Jesus and the Moses and the Gandhi and all the individuals and the things that my father told me. And I was 13 years old, it was like, son, when people fast they produce stem cells, they fully regenerate those all these processes that happen. But it's like, I don't know where he got that because there was no science. There was no as far as I know. You know, there was nobody that was saying these types of things yet here he was saying it.
16:19And I was like, I'm a fast forward, you know, 30 years, 25 plus years now there's all the science from universities around the world longevity institutes and places that experiment with fasting on animals and fasting on humans and now it's like this fad and. And you know, and now there's science and say, Oh, yeah, well, you know, after 48 hours of fasting your body's making, you know, all these stem cells through ketosis and starts to regenerate and it's. And I really love the scientific side of things and getting into the details of here's what happens at eight hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours when you're on a water fast. Here's what to expect here's what's happening within your body most of the time.
17:03And I think, I think a lot of people are also intrigued and loved to look at the science and know specifically what's happening in order to be able to, you know, step in that direction and actually try. to do some form of fasting so. Yeah, well, we've been talking about fasting so what would you recommend as this two parts one would be fasting for someone to overcome a chronic illness and then fasting as in every day. health habit so if we're looking at a health habit, what would you recommend as a fasting routine for generally, you know healthy people who just want to become more healthy or maintain their health.
17:51Yeah, and that's that's a really good question it's good place to start because when we start with the daily stuff there's enough little bit of detoxification and better energy and processes that take place. And so, you know, we've never do decide to do a little bit of an extended basis can be a heck of a lot easier and there's a couple of places you can get started. And the reason for this first and foremost it's important to understand that thousands of years ago, you know, the greatest cultures and the healthiest people that did exist and there are lots of them know that you know our history is a bit skewed and a lot of people might not be aware of this. You know lived and healthily up into his 90s 100 plus Ramses the great there's good history of him ruling over Egypt for 90 years so you know human beings just like us lived a really long healthy beautiful lives back when.
18:51healthy as cultures live their daily lifestyle in accordance with kind of principles of nature. And when I say principles of nature there are natural cycles that our body wants to go through in order to be optimally healthy mentally emotionally physically especially. And the way I would describe this is there's kind of multiple eight hour periods that our body wants to go through for the process of digestion building the body up and detoxifying. And it works is our body actually moves into a phase where it wants to take in nutrients and get all the building blocks and then if we give it time.
19:31So it's almost like you feast and then fast you give it time then there's an assimilation process that takes place within our small intestine involves the liver the pancreas and all this stuff. And so we've got a period of time that if we keep eating we keep interfering with this actual process because most of the energy that our body is using is being used up when we eat something and put it into our stomach. So we got a full stomach there's a lot of processes and energy that needs to take place to digest it from the stomach and get it out. So the body wants to do other stuff to really assimilate all of the nutrition some kind of repeating myself, but if we keep eating we're interfering with that process.
20:17Then after our body takes and you know uses all these beautiful nutrients these foods have to offer there's a period of time that our body also would like to have to detoxify all of the components that we brought into our body that are not useful and actually somewhat toxic. And there are toxic byproducts of the process of making the energy from the food that we consume. So it's like we have all you know trillions of cells in our body we want to extract the nutrients feed the cells and then ourselves going to use that make energy and then basically give off a waste product. So that if I was to summarize that I might say there are four steps.
21:03One step is ingestion where we're eating the second one would be digesting where we're processing it the third one would be a simulation where it's now being put into the body and being used by the body and the fourth one would be a detoxifying element to it. And now going through a natural 24 hour daily cycle of ingestion digestion assimilation and detoxification. So then how would you fit that into the routine of a daily fast or a weekly fast or however you would see it. So this is the interesting piece and this is where I'm taking whole troves of people and moving them towards the most ideal way to live our lives for absolute human longevity mental clarity and to avoid all sickness and disease.
22:02The cool thing about this is when you go into a laboratory and there's these longevity institutes university of Southern California whole biological labs university of Chicago different places around the world that all agree that there are two main factors. There's billions of dollars being spent around the world on how can we live the longest. You know, you think of all the tech companies and all the multi billionaires and all the people and all the investment and all the taxpayer dollars and things going into longevity is something that scientists have been working on for a very, very, very, very long time and investing a lot of money and doing a lot of research on mice and rats and humans and all these things and we all. watch these videos and all these different things and everybody's excited and something new comes out resveratrol and grapes opens up pathways for longevity and all with stragglers and you know this type of food and oh yeah we can increase the telemears and we have the telemuries and we're doing all the stuff and it's all really exciting.
23:09It comes down to it, if you talk to any longevity scientists and really get to the core they'll say look all this bullshit aside there's only two things that we've ever found that have a radical impact on human longevity and here they are. I'm a little bit fasting. Designing a study with apes or monkeys or sea alligans or all kinds of cycle fasting that means you fast and feed and in fact they found immortality has been discovered you guys can look into this you can look up to look up box jellyfish immortality. They've actually discovered through a process of cycle fasting there's certain organisms that we can feed and then fast the freedom and they grow and you fast them and they shrink and feed them and grow and they fast and they shrink and they go through this regev regenerative process and they can live in death.
24:04The box jellyfish we figured out how to make it your mortal. Big deal so cycle fasting so what is cycle fasting actually mean now what does it look like. So cycle fasting is let's take a bunch of recess monkeys let's take a bunch of apes let's put them into an environment that mimics their nature natural environment so that they can still have their social and somewhat be somewhat normal but it's still an environment inside of university typically. What I do is they give a max us to all their natural food products here's all your food, eat as much as you want all day long the next day they take it away and they can't have any.
24:46So fasting is one day feeding one day fasting one day feeding one day fasting now the reason that they design the studies this ways because it's easy and with monkeys in apes they live a really long time so you have to do this trial over long periods of time potentially decades. So we try to design the meals and give it to them and do it in certain proportions and take it away every day it's just not as easy so they did cycle fasting in the form of one day eating one day not one day eating one day not what they're discovering in general. So it's a massive increase in human sorry massive increase in longevity yeah so if you do it with cats and dogs the same type of thing you know they can live 30% longer. And that's a big deal you know if you have let's just pretend the dog would live for 10 years you can live three more years on top of us three more years you can get out of your pet but not only does it get three more years it's a lot healthier the entire way.
25:49anything that extends longevity reduces all cause mortality in risk of. And we look at dogs and cats these days because we feed them our domestic process crap let's be real they end up getting cancer they end up having breathing problems and all these types of things and end up. From a human perspective to add 30% is about an extra 25 years. So here we are we're talking 25 years more life plus living at a higher standard it is far as your your health is concerned and your physical fitness and your mental acuity your now at a level that is higher than it would have been plus you have more of it.
26:40So that's significant so how would it look like for the average person to do cycle fasting over a week or over a day or how you choose to do it. The thing we got to understand is that the scientists are doing this way because that's easy way of doing it. So if you go back to the ancient cultures who actually believe it or not live much longer and had the information especially the higher task of certain societies. And they already were doing it and they were living long healthy and you know mental emotional like they were there.
27:16So we've been taught by the ancient cultures which of course has been suppressed exactly how we need to live our lives. And that's what I've been teaching based on my father's teachings based on the ancient Egyptian works and all these things that I've discovered it's like this is the way we need to live. And here's the science it's pretty much just like it but it's saying the same thing that is doing a different way. And if someone wanted to get into the details you could look at rats and mice because they can have like a 300% increase in life.
27:44Okay, and then as you move up to the you know the apes and the other models it is less but it's still radical. I think you would not you would miss a needle a day or because I've heard about with fasting you you only have this thing called intermittent fasting which may be like cycle fasting. But rather than one day on one day off you only eat between 12 midday and 6 p.m at night when there's a six hour window of opportunity to eat with that be a sort of thing because it'd be great to be able to give people some practical real ideas you know what I can now do put into their everyday life. So the problem is when you just go right there you scare people.
28:36Okay, you know if I were to say hey eat one day as much as you want all day you know whatever anything and then the next day don't eat it all people might try it but they won't be successful they won't be able to do it. Let's be real. And then if I go right to what we should do for the most longevity and clarity and healing etc. It's the same thing it's like oh I can't do that oh that's too much oh what about deficiency oh you what about calories what about protein what about people just have so much stuff that comes up. You've got to like you know kind of get there slowly right and have this conversation and slowly guide people into the situation where they have a little bit more energy they feel better their digestion improves and they take it one step at a time and this might also not apply to everybody in the sense that you know if you're 17 versus 35 versus 80 you know there's probably some certain things you can get to a little bit quicker.
29:38And some conversations in there but one thing that I do want to share is as we start to get into this process what happens if all of a sudden you were to go from eating one day and fasting the next. What happens is our digestive system on the day off has the ability to recuperate your you have the capacity to detox everything that came in get rid of it. Get rid of all that waste reduce any information reduce any assets that came from that. And there's an increase in human growth hormone all of a sudden human growth hormone comes up as we fast for an extended period of time it's like oh.
30:19We don't have access to food now let's maintain or even make sure that our muscle and everything is in a growth methods that we don't lose muscle human growth hormone kicks in which is actually putting on muscle and doing good things for our tissues so that we're not losing it through the fast and stage. Our ability to utilize protein goes up our insulin sensitivity goes up which means if we're just eating all the time we become insulin resistant and our body has a really tough time dealing with the sugars and everything the machinery the mitochondria cells just get overwhelmed and all this. You know insulin builds up excess sugars build up all these things take place which kills our metabolism kills our ability to utilize all the nutrients that are coming in. So just based on this model of one day eating one day fasting all the sudden I can digest proteins much better and I can utilize those proteins better.
31:15My body is much more effective at utilizing the sugars insulin sensitive I have human growth hormone my body has this capacity that when I finally do eat I'm going to be able to really absorb everything that I'm taking in. So if we're looking at fasting and just to recoup on what you're said and how I would think of it, there can be three levels to it, a beginner and intermediate and an advanced level just as if I was teaching you know body work or something like that or yoga or something you might show three poses of beginner pose and intermediate pose and an advanced pose. So a beginner pose if correct me if I'm not right. It could be an intermediate fast where you only from 12 to 6pm that might be a beginner or maybe you miss the meal I'm not sure that might be an intermediate one could be you eat.
32:23You do that intermediate fast and then you maybe combine it with one day on one day off or something because to eat for one day and then not to eat for another day and if you're thinking in a seven day week you're not eating for three days in a week. That's probably a very advanced level for most people not to eat three days a week. It's going to blow most people out because you know you know and we'll talk about it in a moment about food and emotions and so one of the fastest ways to activate emotions is to reduce the food intake and one of the best ways to suppress emotions is to increase the food intake. So what would you recommend as a beginner fast sort of protocol as a intermediate fast protocol and as an advanced fast protocol.
33:21So there are basically three three or four methods that people can say, oh I want to try this one or this one or this one and then there's levels of those methods as well like we referred to it as fast, faster and fastest. So this is going to refer to the degree at which your body goes into this kind of detoxification and emotions come up. Show your wanting to suppress you know you get hangry people don't eat in the morning out in angry this is going on so we have multiple levels of that. But before I do that I want to talk about this second factor.
33:56So there's two factors that are the the mo have the most impact for longevity. One is that cycle of fasting experience and number two they refer to as CR which is calorie restriction. So if you take any animal whether it's a human dog account mouse a rat or any organism that exists. When we reduce their caloric intake they tend to live longer obviously there's a level of diminishing return.
34:27But when we reduce the caloric intake overall we find that they live a lot longer. And if you just wanted to correlate this you could go to the longest of the cultures on the planet. There's a book called the blue zones written by a researcher named Dan Deoner at the United States, he went around the world. He discovered that there's these zones where people live.
34:48very low rates of heart disease and cancer and these types of things. And they have more people over a hundred than anywhere else in the world called centaurians. So the longest live women are like an open knowledge of pan. The longest live men are in Iqari agrees and Sardinia Italy.
35:06And then there's some other pockets of like Vilka Bamba Valley and Hunza people of the high mountains in different places. So then he basically went and stayed with and researched all these different cultures and they have so many things in common. And one of the major things that they have in common is caloric respiratory. So the average male about my size is consuming sixteen to eighteen hundred calories a day.
35:34And that's just kind of their average daily intake. Whereas if you take a male in my size that lives in Australia or the United States it's probably double. It's probably about three thousand thirty five hundred calories. You know somebody who's lifting a bit of weights and playing some sport and doing like this it's double.
35:55Even though these people are hiking every day walking an average of five miles a day out working farming, growing sheep hurting whatever it is. That is basically the problem of the Australia and the United States and so three thousand calories a day and most people are obese. Yeah. And for three thousand calories a day so people are trying to double that.
36:20Just to give by. So and there's the perception thing if you take the longest of the people on the planet and just haven't walked down the street in Australia or one individual go in a crowd they'll be like oh wow are you okay like you need some food or you sick. Like this is actually a perception that people that are the longest live healthiest they'll be looked at is if they're initiated in sick and need protein. And this is a big psychological thing that when all of a sudden people start to fast and they start to get into the right lifestyle all their family members and friends and people around them we're going to point figures and be like oh you look sickling you but you got this issue you need to put on some weight you need to.
37:02So this is whole kind of thing that goes on but bring it back. Cycle fasting and chloride restriction. There's a lot of benefits of the fasting side of thing that happened in regeneration that may play a key role that are far beyond the chloride restriction. But the scientists are really saying in general we believe that the cycle of fasting works because when you have these cycles of fasting you experience core of restriction you're not eating much.
37:31So that's where a lot of scientists will say well it's it's ultimately just core of restriction. But then if you get into the science of the fasting and the details of human growth hormone and stem cell production and all these hearing factors that kick in. It goes beyond just what we're going to talk about first which is this is kind of lifestyle process. So now I want to just say outright what the longest lived people ancient cultures actually did I'm just going to say what they did.
38:02And then we can reverse engineer a little bit how can we kind of move towards that. Okay, so what were the longest cultures. Yeah, so in my opinion the people that were really on to it and living the longest healthiest in the most captain it was one meal. They would sit one time they would fully honor the process and I've been through this process and it forces you to do this when you get to where it's like I'm going to have one meal a day it's called O Mad one meal a day it is kind of a fab within a certain community of people.
38:39When you actually just have one meal a day you're in such a state of kind of like hunger and just readiness and appreciation. Like there is no oh well to see this restaurant because it's close all just have a snack it's like when you do one meal a day this becomes like a process. You're you're so clear about what it is you're craving and what you want and how it needs to be because it becomes like this sacred experience. If I only have one time a day that I'm going to eat they call it 23 one 23 hours fast one hour.
39:19So is there an optimum time for this one meal a day would you choose I think this my day this would be argued by different people from different places. I know that in some ancient text specifically from the Dead Sea Scrolls. It was the Essenes that wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls and they were a group of Egyptians and some others that kind of came out and set up when Egypt was going through some major turmoil and no longer the Egypt that it was through invasions and other types of things. Yes around the times of Jesus and all those stories around that.
39:59So these scrolls were dug up and they were found to lead back to those times and it says specifically it is pleasing unto the Lord or it's the most pleasing and you will never see disease if you simply eat but twice in the day. It says is to eat when the sun is highest in the heavens and if you know they talk about like when the sun is highest to 12 o'clock noon that's when our digestive fire is at its greatest. So it's the sun is directly above us that's the time to sit down smell love experience and for me around this time is what I have found because I've tried eating at night and tried eating breakfast of tried eating three or four o'clock in the afternoon. There is kind of a sweet spot for me around this two to three o'clock in the afternoon type of thing.
40:52And we could talk about why but I believe it's 12 o'clock. I believe it's when the sun is highest in the sky if you can sit at that time and have that meal that would be optimal. So we would be looking at for doing a long term fasting to maximum optimize health and this would be an a more elite sort of description of variable. So it would be one meal a day and somewhere between noon and 2 p.m. And in that timeframe you would have your meal and that would be it and you wouldn't have anything else and that would be.
41:28So in effect, we could then say if we want to put it in a different terminology say you have an intimate fasting where you fit that one meal into a timeframe between 12 and then the 2 p.m. Anytime you would eat and then when you did it, it wouldn't be unlimited food during those two hours it would be the equivalent of one meal in those two hours. At first, so there's stages here we still need to discuss. But I think that at first to make it doable, you would say within this one to two hour period you eat as much and whatever.
42:08Now obviously, you know, we're going to have people who are conscious who are healthy that are doing those types of things that are going to want to do this for human health that are going to be okay. Well, I want to have a certain amount of fruit to break my fast because I think the breaking of the fast is very important to hydrate the system give yourself some antioxidants, give your body that quick ability for energy. That's typically what I break the fast with this fruit first. I'm having this beautiful offering it's sweet it's beautiful it's amazing.
42:37I smell it I love it and I have that within 10 to 15 minutes that's out of my stomach and now I'm going to move on to something that's a little bit more looking for proteins looking for greens looking for vegetables that sort of thing and I'm going to have a meal. When I started this I was like oh you know what I'm not going to be able to eat for another 23 hours I'm really going to eat. And so it was like my one hour a day became three meals in one hour. Okay, and that felt good for me that's what I wanted so I went from like fast beast fast.
43:15And again protein utilization on metabolism completely shifted all of a sudden when I would eat this big meal my body would heat up I can feel my metabolism really kicking in there were so many benefits from doing this. And what I found happened is after a couple of weeks of doing this you just started realizing oh you know what I'm actually eating way too much I don't really feel good for me that much maybe I can pull it back a little bit. It's like calm and sense started develop you start to feel into what you're actually doing and you start to get very clear on the portions of fruit portion of this we maybe a little bit of dessert this and that it's like you're having everything within kind of this one to two hour window and until it gets to a point where it's very. reasonable it's still a good portion but it's very reasonable and then you feel good afterwards for the rest of the day sure and you're good to go for that next morning as well.
44:14So to put it into my language and again correct me I would see that a routine you know if you set the timeframe for for a couple of hours a day between 12 and two. then you just ate according to whatever you basically felt like during that time and then over a period of time your body would adjust you the capitalism adjust you start to get a perspective on it and then before you know it you realize that you just. watching too much in this short period and then you would just begin to refine it and then it's you it's a refinement process that to me is a fabulous advanced everyday technique, why about the average person now people who. go to a nine to five type job and who have a sense of they want to improve themselves and one of the constant things are here is there under constant stress and the fear is if I reduce too much of the calories or I restrict my diet too much i'm just going to get to emotional I won't be able to.
45:30but for those people to start a routine because my recommendation to people I work with is it doesn't matter what you do just start doing something start the routine get the habit going and once that's established now we can begin to refine it so a very simple. begin a step what might you recommend so for the health minded person wants to heal have more energy really do the right thing for themselves. again from the scene gospel the piece this density scroll manuscript is says eat twice in the day, it says if you eat twice in the day, you will never see disease and it's best to do that when the sun is highest in the sky and just before it sets. so this is this is what's become kind of the fads based on the science not from ancient texts, but from the science this is where the whole.
46:29you know 18 hours six or 16 hours eight kinds of comes in internet and fasting and it's basically just taking out that one meal a day. and so for everybody who eats breakfast lunch and dinner it is going to be a big deal to all the sudden naughty breakfast because we're all told breakfast is the most important meal and I agree, but we need to understand what breakfast is breakfast is breakfast is breakfast. So breakfast is the most important meal to make sure you're eating the right things they're going to move through your digestive system and prepare your body, but the time doesn't need to be first thing in the morning. So what's actually taking place.
47:10Let's say I have my last meal at six o'clock I have my dinner at six o'clock this is pretend that's when it was big meal. So cooked foods all the things wherever I wanted eat all that food let's say I finished at six thirty okay. Just for the sake of things there's this eight hour window that's taking place of a simulation my body gets all the sugars and stores them in the liver stores them in the muscle is glucose and glycogen. So this process of a simulation I go to Ben we all sleep we all fast every single day when we're sleeping.
47:45And if you ask anybody when do you think you're healing the most probably when I'm sleeping why because you're not eating you're not doing all these things your body's resting. So it is true that if we could just extend our sleeping. We would keep fasting and resting and we would heal we get more energy or hormones that have time to reset the digestive system have time to reset. So essentially it's like extending our sleeping state for the body but we're still awake and doing stuff.
48:13So what happens within about eight hour period overnight okay is my liver starts to run out of the sugars that have absorbed from my meals straight away. So after about eight hours typically about eight hours my liver starts to run out of sugars and I started to go into what's called the nutritional form of ketosis. That means my body's going to go from not just burning sugars but also burning a little bit of my own fact. So when my body starts to burn a little bit of my own fat there's these qualities of stem cells that get generated so that's healing and repairing my gut.
48:49There's all these other little processes that are happening and ketones are really good for my brain they're really good alternative sorts of energy that's very efficient. So what happens is we need to become metabolically flexible, which means the more I do this the more my body it gets easy gets good at going into a little bit of nutritional ketosis, healing and running on ketones which are people that are into this you know ketogenic diet and ketosis state. They experience the benefits of ketosis from this they're oh man I'm so clear I got all this energy I feel so good. The only thing is they're burning external fats that they're putting in where I say like let's just burn our own fat and get this ketosis so.
49:35Let's say anywhere from four you know four o'clock in the morning ish you know early state of the morning we're running out of this we're going to ketosis now my body's entering so I ate my meal. I assimilated my meal over those eight hours and now my body wants to detoxify that meal for another eight hours. So this is why when you wake up in the morning some people got a little bit of film on their tongue they feel the achy granny this kind of crap is because their bodies and detoxification. And if you wake up in the morning not feeling good that means your body needs support for that detoxification because once you detox everything you wake up chipper bright.
50:17So what would be a good way to support your body through that detoxification you're waking up you're feeling think how could you support the detox very good question.
