0:21So welcome everyone and this is the third lesson in the Finding Your Soulmate series. And in this lesson I call it create the vision and there will be three things we're dealing with. One is describe the right person, work out your goals and then basically visualize how
0:44you'd like to see this working out. And it's very important that you have your work with you because we're going to be doing a lot of writing in this presentation and there'll be times when I ask you to write things and I may not necessarily give enough time.
1:04So just put me on pause, finish what you're doing and continue with the video again because what you write down is significant. It's really important in this lesson. So we're creating the vision, we're trying to work out.
1:20So just to remind you with manifestation, the way I define it, there are four parts to it. You need to ask for what you want. You've got to get a clear vision and that's what we're going to do here today. And then it's a matter of believing in yourself and taking action to keep improving yourself.
1:41That will be the next lesson. And then it's all about receiving and again it's another form of believing in yourself. So fundamentally the process of manifestation is quite straightforward. One, know what you want and two, believe in yourself.
1:59It sounds easy but not necessarily so. It's like playing football as far as Osaka. It's like kickball through a goal at the end of the field and you think, well I could just go down there and kick it except you have a team coming in the opposite direction
2:17doing everything to stop you. With this, there's no one really trying to stop you. In fact, quite the reverse. There'd be lots of people around encouraging you wanting you to succeed.
2:28It's more to do with your own psychology that you may not be aware of that's inhibiting disability to create manifest, bring into your life the person that you want to be with. And so we'll be spending a lot of time looking at what's internally blocking you from achieving this.
2:50But for this lesson, it's first step, work out what do you want? Who do you want? What does this person look like? And the clearer you become, the better your chance of finding them.
3:04The clearer in the description of that sort of person. And I'll take you through the process. So who is this person? And the affirmation or the thing we're going to be looking at is, I'm so happy and grateful.
3:22I'm now in a relationship with the right person for me who has the following characteristics. And this is on a page in your notes and it's on page. Find it. It's on page L3, lesson 3, page 4.
3:45So you may open to that page and start jotting ideas down as we talk and allow me to explain the process. So I'm going to be looking at describing this person with eight different characteristics. And not all of them may be relevant to you.
4:08So you'll pick the ones that are. The first thing is we want to describe what they look like, roughly. The next thing is what are they interested in? The sort of where do they live and how that relates to you.
4:24The finances, the thing around culture, what background have they come from? The whole thing about any past relationships. So that if you go into a relationship with someone, they're going to be there for you. They're not still being dragged by the past.
4:44Then passion, of course, you know, how passionate is this relationship going to be? There will be lots of people who want a very active sex life and for other people, it's not as significant. But most people think, for most people, it is an important thing.
5:02And so we want to get clear on that. And then sexual orientation. That may not be relevant to most people. But there will be a group of people for whom it is important.
5:15So the first description is appearance. And when we look at appearance, I'm looking at age. And when I'm working out how old the person is, I usually think, plus or minus 10 years from my age.
5:31And maybe 10 years plus might be too much for some. But that would usually be the range of people I'd be looking for. Because I want someone in a similar life cycle to me. When I met my partner Susie 22 years ago, I was 50 years of age and she was 42, I had
5:53already two children. I'd gone past the point where I would want any more children. Now, some people would be happy to have more children at the age of 50. But I had reached 50 and I had enough.
6:07And my partner Susie had also decided that she was no longer looking for a child. And so we both met each other at that sort of age. And by the time we really got together and we were fully committed, it was probably another 12 months.
6:24So she's 43. I'm 51. The kid thing didn't matter. So we were in a similar cycle.
6:30But if I had met someone instead of being 42, was 35, then she could be in a different life cycle to me and she's looking for children. So it was a general rule, someone within a 10 year time frame of view is usually in the same life cycle.
6:52There's exceptions to this of course. So how old do you want them to be? Then you're going to start describing them. How tall?
6:59As a general rule, men usually like girls, women that are the same height or shorter than them. Women usually like men who are taller than them, not often are they describing someone shorter.
7:18But that again is a generalization and different heights may not necessarily be a deal breaker. And there are other advantages. When people are men are shorter than women will. Wow, look how amazing I am to have such a fabulous partner as this.
7:39So height, if that's important for you, hair color may or may not be important. Do you want someone has hair or it doesn't even matter? You know, forget about hair color. Do they have it?
7:51Eye color again, may or may not be complexion, you know, dark light, fear, whatever, red his red complexion. It doesn't physical fitness. To some extent that mattered to me.
8:03I wanted someone who was at least taking care of themselves and had a similar level of fitness to what I had. If I'm fit, then I would probably want my partner to be fit. If I'm not that focused on fitness, then it won't matter.
8:21So it really just is dependent on what you're on. Certainly someone who's an elite athlete would want someone very fit. And the main thing for me here is that they're health conscious, in that they care about their health and they eat healthily and they try and maintain good health in their lives.
8:46If they had a medical condition, it doesn't have to be a deal breaker. It just depends on the medical condition. And I don't need someone necessarily to be, you know, bursting with energy and health all the time.
9:00But I do want someone who is healthy and the tool of us can carry on a life together and share our lives. So again, a very subjective decision. The level of education, it's less to do with appearance.
9:16It's more to do with culture. But it's here with level of education. I'm looking at, do I want someone with a university degree? Do I want someone who's finished high school?
9:28Is this important or is it not? There would have been a time in my life where a certain education level would have been important to me. At this stage in my life, it really isn't that relevant at all.
9:41And as long as the person is intelligent and outward going and interested in things, then that's more than enough. So that would be the sort of things I'd be looking at when describing appearance. So write these things down as we go on page 4 of lesson 3.
10:05And the next thing I'd be looking at is their interests. What are they interested in? Is it a smoker or a non-smoker? If I'm a non-smoker, then I really do want a smoker.
10:17Although I have been in a relationship with someone who was a smoker and the connection was so strong and the truth of it is it didn't matter. But sometimes it does matter. Vegetarian non-vegetarian.
10:32I'm a vegetarian and so I really would be looking for someone else of vegetarian. Again, it doesn't have to matter. Just my personal preference, my partner can have whatever they want. Sporting fitness.
10:47Well, that is another thing. They're into sport. They're into fitness. That could be one of their interests.
10:54I could be going out with a football player, a cricket player, a tennis player, a basketball player, whatever. If they're interested in a particular sport, it may be relevant for me that my partner is at least prepared to go and watch a game.
11:13The other thing is if you're into art theatre movies, it depends. Some people are quite sporty. Other people are very arty. Susie, for instance, was a former ballet girl.
11:26She looked and was in a ballet troupe in her twenties and so ballet represented something. It's a very big interest for her and to go to the ballet to go to the opera to go to the theatre is something she really enjoys. I don't mind it.
11:42I'm very indifferent to it. If she wants to go, then I'm happy to go along with her. I do my best to stay awake during the performance at a respect for what I am watching. But she loves the theatre and she loves a lot of going to cultural events and things.
12:07Dancing and music will Susie was a dancer, so she really loves dancing. I'm not that great at dancing, but I love going and watching dancers and music. That's their great things to do. If it's interesting, travel, camping, outdoors, yes, I love all that.
12:25So I'd be looking for someone who was into travel and camping and very much outdoorsy. Susie is cooking and reading. I didn't put cooking down in my original request, but definitely if I'm, you're a good cooker, you enjoy cooking or you enjoy food, then you may want to partner who has that
12:45interest in that, or it doesn't matter. And some people are very avid readers and you want someone who's well read and you can talk to them about it and things like that. Personal development, self-education.
12:57Well, that's been it made basically my career choice. And so I definitely would want someone who has an interest in personal development, self-education because that's one of the main things I do in Monday to Friday. It's my in effect nine to five job, but it's actually more than nine to five.
13:16But that's what I'd be looking at. And then spiritual path and faith. And if someone was very devout Christian, then you may definitely want someone who's a Christian.
13:30So if someone has a very spiritual perspective around life, then that may be a significant factor in the sort of person that you want to attract into your life. And there may be other things that I haven't mentioned. And this is just a bit of a snapshot of the sort of things you could look at.
13:52The other thing is geography. Now where do they live? Yes, it's theoretically possible to have a relationship if you lived in Sydney, Australia with someone who was in New York in the United States.
14:09But in practical sense, it creates a lot of challenges. And starting a new relationship has a lot of vulnerabilities when you first start. You're really starting behind the eight ball. If your partner lives in another country, that means that partner's family is overseas.
14:33A lot of their friends are overseas. And even if you are looking at someone who is Australian and someone who's in the US, and we both speak English, you'd be surprised how different people think and their expectations are very different.
14:52And so it's always challenging to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't live in the same country as you. And so be aware of that. And that would not be a preference for me.
15:08I would be very strongly recommending that if you live in a major city, you want the person that you're going to connect to to be living within 100 kilometer radius of where you are. I would be saying no more than an hour's travelling between where I am and where they are ideal. That would be the situation.
15:32And then they grew up in that city. They're close to you. Their family is nearby or their family is easily reached. They may have retired and they're now living somewhere out of town.
15:47But it's easy to get to visit them. Eventually you may have family. They're going to be grandparents to your kids. There's a whole lot of stuff that happens.
15:58I have counseled so many people who have had relationships with people whose parents and family live overseas. It's been a significant problem. And eventually the relationships have broken up.
16:15A lot of them have broken up. Some have succeeded. And there was a lot of homesickness and loneliness and missing family and missing friends when they came to stay in another country.
16:29So as a general rule, I would be saying within an hour's travelling distance of me. And then you can put a number 50 to 100 kilometres from where you live. That would be one of the, for me, significant things. You do want someone you can see reasonably regularly.
16:53And also they're close to their network and circle of friends. The other thing is I'm looking at is finances. If I'm going to be with someone, again, everyone's different. And it really depends on your lifestyle, your level of finance and your expectations.
17:13And you're the only one who can make this decision. I'm only presenting a perspective. And you may not have thought about this, but I would ask you to consider it. One of the things is I would expect, if I'm at my age, it's 70.
17:32If someone's retired, I don't expect them to have a job. But if I was 40 or 30 and I'm looking to go into a relationship with a partner, I would want my partner employed. I would want them to have a job.
17:46I would want them to have been saving or they're very careful with their money or they're very conscious around money. If they don't have money, it could be for some very legitimate reasons. They've tried business, they've been travelling, they've been educating themselves.
18:02There's lots of reasons why that's still okay. They may have come out of a relationship where they've basically ended up back to zero and they're starting again. But they are, it's a person who is aspirational.
18:18It's a person who considers it and takes a positive action towards creating and manifesting wealth for themselves and for their partner. And so I would be saying, I want someone who has a job and may or may not have a business and they could be independently wealthy.
18:39Great, if that's the case. And then debt's a manageable and being paid off. So yes, they may have debts but they are very transparent about it. They have a former business situation, they may have $100 or $200 and $1 debt they're
18:56paying off and it's going to take them three or four years. So there's no speak cash. And they have made you aware of that after you have made a commitment to them. But if debts are there, they are transparent and there's a procedure for paying them off.
19:15We're not just trying to bury the head in the head, saying to say, well, it doesn't matter because it's going to be catastrophic later and particularly if you merge finances with this person. You've got to be careful.
19:28They own their own home. That's wonderful. They're paying their own home off. That's great too, if that's possible.
19:36They own property, have investments. This is someone who has a lot more going for them. That's even better. If you have a lot of property and investments and you have a significant portfolio, then
19:49the financial status of the other person is going to be a bit more of a consideration. You're going to be looking at how are they managing their life? How are they managing their finances? And no financial secrets.
20:04We don't want to suddenly turn up and find out, wow, they've got this massive debt and also part of the financial secrets is usually there's some sort of addictive behaviour. They are a gambler and they've been gambling their money and all this sort of stuff. They're the most financial secrets and finances are a big issue.
20:28You want someone who has some sort of financial goal. I want to pay a house off. I want to save some money. I want to have the ability to travel.
20:36I want to be able to pay for my children's education, my own education. I want to be looking at advancing myself. I think for me that's an important thing. Some people it may not be but work out these are the sort of things.
20:53Some of the things I might look at, you know, if I am going into a relationship with someone and there's a major difference in our wealth level of wealth, there may be a prenup agreement that we're looking at. In Australia, prenups don't stack up legally.
21:12But there are other ways people get around that by setting up foundations and trusts and things like that. So if there is a great disparity in wealth, you really need to figure out how we're going to manage this and otherwise this will become a point of major resentment.
21:32And so think it through. Ideally someone who's at about your level makes life easy. If you have a job in some savings and you're in process of purchasing a house and then you go into a relationship with someone who has hundreds of millions of dollars and a lot
21:51of that money has come from inherited family wealth, you need to have very, very, very, very, very clear agreements around the finances. That's also one for them not to think they're being taken advantage of and also for you not to be disempowered and to feel exposed or be treated as a second rate citizen.
22:13So finances are a big deal. You've got to get clear on your finances. The other thing I'm looking at is culture. This tends to be also another thing.
22:24And with culture we're looking at similar culture and religious beliefs. Yes obviously. If I'm a Greek background but I was born in Australia and my mother always said to me, you've got to marry a good Greek girl.
22:42And I never did. I always married an Anglo-Australian or an Irish-Australian. And Susie is Irish-Australian background. But because I was born in Australia and I grew up in Australia and I have an Australian mentality
22:59even though I have a cultural Greek cultural background. There's a blending and so culturally we both meet. And as far as religious beliefs are concerned we don't have really strong sort of church type beliefs but we do have a spiritual awareness of things.
23:20And so we match on that level. But if you have a strong desire in one way then that's important and you need to honour that and it's important that your partner on us or reflects it in some way. The family and friends and ideal situation will be more.
23:39I like their family and friends, their family and friends like me. Check the box. If you get those things happening you're on the right part. You know, I love her but her family can't stand me.
23:55Her friends don't like me. Ooh, got to watch out for that. Because there's a lot of hidden things that aren't being revealed and it's coming out in the family and friends.
24:06Why are these my partners family and why is my partners friends not liking me? She likes those sort of people. What is it about my partner? I don't know.
24:19But usually family and friends get on with each other. Life is going to be as a general rule or as exceptions. Going to be okay. But I would certainly like, and with Susie, you know I love her family, her family,
24:35wonderful and all the friends that I've met I think are great too. So we've been easy for us. In the same with my family and friends they totally adore her. And education hasn't been an issue.
24:48You know I have a university education. She has a high school education. Really it hasn't been an issue at all. It may be for some people.
24:57I'm looking at wealth. We discussed that a bit earlier. If there's a great disparity, she and I are basically here at the same sort of financial level.
25:07Politics, liberal conservative in different. We're a little bit more on the indifferent side. So politics don't matter. Some people it doesn't matter.
25:16They're very, very right wing in the way they perceive things and they really have to find someone the same. They might be quite conservative. Other people could be quite liberal.
25:26Again it may or may not be relevant. For me it was not relevant. Beliefs in right and wrong, virginity, things like that. Some people have very, very strong beliefs around certain things.
25:40This could be a deal breaker. For me it's not a deal breaker. It never really mattered. But again be aware of it.
25:49If it matters for you then write it down. The again this is all about religious belief. God, religion, spirituality, atheist. It's been covered.
26:03Anything else to do with culture. That's what you'd be looking at. This is another one that is a really big deal. A big deal.
26:13And it is to do with past relationships. With past relationships you want them to be emotionally and or physically free of all past relationships. In an ideal scenario you do not want any baggage from your partner.
26:35Regarding any previous relationships. Unless you're a very young person, the majority of people we're going to be attracting into our lives have already been around the block once or twice before. They're been in relationships.
26:49You may be going into a situation where the partner you're attracting has children. Now that's okay and you may have children but you have very clear boundaries around how you relate. And so you're emotionally free of the past relationship.
27:09So your partner's not still in love with his ex or her ex. And physically free may not be necessarily possible given that children are involved and maintenance has to be paid and things have to occur. That's okay.
27:27All that's okay. As long as it's transparent. As long as you know about it. And so there aren't any secrets.
27:36And people can say I'm separated from my partner. We don't live together anymore and they may not and there may not be any children. But he's still or she's still got the hots for that other person. What are we talking about?
27:51And there can't be any secrets about your relationship with your partner to the other person. Oh no, I can't tell the other person about you because that person would be upset. Well hang on a minute. You're emotionally hooked in in some way.
28:05You know, somewhere I can't be kept secret. I've just with counseling someone last week who had that problem. They're in a relationship with someone and the fact that they've been in a relationship together for two years and he hasn't told his ex wife who is co-parenting the children with that
28:23is in a new relationship. What are we talking about? No. This is about opening transparent about present time relationships with past partners.
28:37I'm not asking you or your partner to divulge everything that happened in past relationships. It's not a matter of what happened in the past. There are many people you've been to bed who you were in love with or who you weren't in love with.
28:51You may at some point in time discuss that. What's important is now, now at this time since the relationship has started with you, the experience with the past partner is transparent. If they contact their partner you know about it.
29:09There is no hidden communication between any ex's and your partner. At the same time you're not putting pressure on for them not to communicate or to prove themselves and you're going to be careful about being jealous. But it's present time.
29:29Right now they need to communicate with someone they had a past relationship with and there is you know they still care for them. They've been kind to them but that doesn't mean they're compromising the relationship but they can't pretend and hide things.
29:44Purely because you create so much misunderstanding. At the same time you can't be suspicious and jealous and you do need to be reasonable around it. But this is a general rule and blended families is another thing.
29:59You know I've got children, they've got children. We've got to marry you know because if I go into a relationship with someone I'm not just going into a relationship with that one person. I'm going to a relationship with their children and most likely a de facto type relationship
30:18with the ex not that I need to be there consider her listen to the nonsense or anything that may go on but I do need to respect that other person has rights and that other person has needs and I just need to be conscious of them and be respectful of my partners past relationship with this person because they have children involved.
30:47If no children are involved it's a different ball game and I want that his children from a previous or her children from a previous relationship to respect me and for us to be friends. When I met Susie I had two kids and Susie didn't have any and both my kids absolutely love an adore Susie and Susie loves an adore's them and what a relief for me and everyone
31:16else because it just made everything harmonious and we just all clicked we became great everyone and we're a family. We are a family you know Susie is but she's not the mother of those children but she is a very caring loving friend and you should put her into the category of an art and it's more than
31:41a friend it's a deep love relationship and we've now known each other for over 22 years or getting on to 22 years so it's something more and the next section is passion and the first thing is we love each other so there is you know in our modern Western sort of life we want to have the magic and the romance and I'm just totally fallen in love with that person that
32:12is amazing and fabulous if it occurs and you can start a relationship like that and sometimes that relationship can dwindle the love can be lost because a lot of personal issues start to arise it can work the other way where you can start where there is a strong affection and gradually the love grows and grows for me I saw Susie fell in love with Susie and it's
32:39just made strong the entire time we've been together when my mother and father met they had an arranged marriage they their my mother's aunt and my father's mother got together and said these two would make a great couple and they remained married and together and I believe had a very successful relationship for more than 50 odd years and five children and you know a very full
33:09life so it really was it worked for them and the love just grew and grew and grew as they were together and stayed together so there needs to be this love connection and they not you can love someone and not like them you know you want to love them and like them I enjoy being in their companies they enjoy being in my company we're sexually compatible now for me that's been an important
33:38thing for some people it's not important this is individual if this is important for you then you want sexual compatibility with your partner and the way I would describe that is I enjoy having sex with him or her and she enjoys having sex with me you know I enjoy having sex with her because it's a female and she enjoys having sex with me that's how I would say it we enjoy having sex with
34:08each other and the other thing is monogamous we only have sex with each other it's you know it is a you often people imply that you would imagine that but now I'm being very specific you know I want someone who wants a monogamous relationship with me because I want a monogamous relationship with and having sex with other people is a deal breaker for our relationship boom I would have that
34:38if that is the case there are some people for whom that is not the case just be true to yourself the asexual some people are asexual I love just the companionship being together you know we love each other enjoy each other's company but don't need sex I had a very good friend former accountant with his wife they were together they didn't have sex but they deeply loved each other and they were very
35:05committed to each other and they had children together you know earlier in their life and now they're at a later stage in their life and it was the companionship so everyone comes together differently you just have to honor your own truths around this but fundamentally we feel connected the other piece is looking at sexual orientation for me this wasn't relevant because I
35:36automatic I found you know it was it was going to be where heterosexual end to story some people maybe have a sexual gay lesbian then you need to state that this is what I want some people are bisexual again you state that and others are trans it's gender it's really is a matter of how you resonate for me it's very much a heterosexual relationship and it really wasn't a big deal to
36:02mention very much other than that and then I would finish at the bottom and say may this or something better for the greatest good occur and I would put a time frame so think about it how long do you think it's going to take to manifest this person into your life when I said that and thought about it I put a date of about six months into the future from where I find myself
36:29and then I would put a specific date the 30th of the month or the 1st of the month or whatever the date was and the year and I would say may this or something for the greatest good occur by that date I would sign it it's a it's a commitment with myself and then I would date it and I would put today's date and this is a commitment and I've signed a commitment with myself and this is the
36:57description and you can modify it and add to it and change it but this is a starting point very significant the next piece I want to talk about are goals and I'll go through this very quickly and you can fill the piece in and do it yourself because you may need to pause the video so that you need a bit more time but the goals that I would be asking for getting married what
37:25you want have a lifelong companion living together are you going to be maintaining your own homes you're not going to be living together so what are your goals when you think with your partner what are you going to be doing how do you want to have children with them have a baby are you going to be buying a house and starting a business so what are the sort of things not only this is the
37:48person this is what this is what I want to do with them this is how I'm going to spend my life with them and traveling going to Europe Asia Africa etc what are I going to do and then a tantric lover someone who we have this great passionate very exciting romantic experience of life together and these are the goals and anything else you can think of so I'm going to ask you to have
38:17a look at that and then we're going to move to the next page where I will ask you to write down your goals this is on page seven of lesson three what I want from a new relationship in the next three years is and then you write it down I'm just going to quickly go through it pause it and then take your time but it could be to get married have a baby buy a house together
38:51live together start a family it could be to set up a business buying an investment property or find someone who can be a partner in my business it could be travel to France and Italy spend a month on a farm in Tuscany who knows you know you could put a number of these things together in the next three years once you found this person I want to share a personal development growth journey
39:19with them it depends so write that down on page seven and may this is something better for the greatest good occur and put a date three years into the future and then sign it and put today's date on it do that pause it I'm going on to the next bit and the next bit is I want you to write a one page visualisation of your life in the future with this person and this visualisation
39:54is basically looking at you've actually manifested your goals and you're with your partner and it's you're going to write this one page as if you were this you've taken someone's come along at that time in three years time and taken a snapshot of who you are and the two of you were doing something together and it represents the manifestation of a lot of these goals at that time and so you would
40:31start off saying I'm so happy and grateful today is and it'd be a date in three years time and it could be something like this it is Saturday the third of November 2025 my partner and I that's Suzy are sitting on the deck of our house having having a breakfast the fruit salad and yogurt we're talking about our plans for flying out to Greece in April and later on going up to cans at Christmas time to visit
41:06my son daughter-in-law and grandkids we have just come back from a swim at the local beach I feel so happy and grateful so the images of is the two of us sitting on the deck of our home and we are talking about our travel plans and having just come back from the beach and we feel fabulous together write something for yourself once you've written that I want you to sit and read it out
41:54loud to yourself this is a magnet this is a conscious manifestation if you can imagine yourself in that situation in the future you will bring it to you this is significantly powerful it has worked in my life at least a dozen times I manifested the partner in my life I manifested business opportunities in my life I manifested the home I presently live in and a great abundance this is a
42:31significantly powerful thing to do it's called visualization imagination so you ride it from the perspective of you've actually achieved it and this is a snapshot so you're sitting somewhere you could be in a cafe you could be on a beach you could be jogging with your partner you could be visiting the family somewhere you could be in hospital seeing the birth of the baby you could be
43:04traveling with them and you someone has just taken a photo of the two of you in that moment and now you are writing a description of that event that a snapshot has occurred as though and you've put yourself into it and the more you can describe it the more you can feel it the more you can be in it the more powerful it becomes and we will reinforce this and build it in subsequent
43:36lessons so in summary you describe the right person you work out what you're going to be doing with them and how you're going to be living your life and then you imagine you already have it by writing out a statement and it's important that you read out aloud what you have written because by writing it down you manifest it to a certain extent by standing up and reading it
44:08and declaring it doesn't have to have anyone in the room listening to it if someone wants to listen well and good and if you have someone listening to it you want someone who will respect what you have written and then you read it out it's declaring it it's owning it it's being proud of it and you hopefully you will definitely bring it to you but own it and for any questions about this
