The Chakras are energy points located through the centre of the torso and up into the throat and head. They were first discovered thousands of years ago in ancient India by meditating yogis, who observed these energy points to be swirling and called them chakras (meaning wheels in the Sanskrit language).
To fully understand their significance it’s necessary to have some understanding of the human energy system – which has three parts to it.
- The Meridians – there are 20 energy channels running throughout the body and with 400 acupuncture points located on them.
- The Chakras – there are seven main chakras with as many as 107 minor chakras.
- The Aura – is the subtle energy field that permeates and surrounds the physical body, in the average healthy person it’s about one metre out.
If you look carefully at the illustration below (by Alex Grey) you will observe the Acupuncture Meridians which are fine white lines running along the arms and legs into the body and head, with white dots along them. The Chakras are the line of white circles running from the base of the torso to the top of the head, while the Aura is the light blue halo surrounding the body.
At the time of your death the Aura (the light blue halo) separates from your body and moves out of the material dimension. The body is left to decay and return to dust. The memories of all of your experiences in this lifetime are carried away with this Aura. The Aura, that part that can’t die, is the essential part of you and continues on its journey of evolution until it’s time to return to another body.
The Chakras are the linkage points between the Aura and your physical body. There is a two-way flow between the physical body and the Aura. All the experiences of this life are recorded via the chakras into the Aura, and all of the experiences from previous times that are stored in the Aura are transferred into the cellular memory of your body.
Caroline Myss (in her book Anatomy of the Spirit) describes the function of chakras as follows: “Every thought and experience you’ve ever had in your life gets filtered through these chakra databases. Each event is recorded into your cells…”.
For most of us this information from our Aura forms the bulk of our unconscious, and even though you may not be consciously aware of this information it affects every aspect of your life, including finding love, achieving financial success and Being happy in your life.
There are numerous ways of working with the energetic charka gateways, but the ways I have discovered to be most effective, from more than 30 years’ experience and working with thousands of people, is a combination of experiential energetic, emotional and psychological techniques.
Working directly with the chakra system is one of the fastest and most effective ways of accessing and releasing your limiting psychological and emotional behaviours to have a loving, successful and fulfilling life.
